Most of the light given off by an incandescent light bulb is invisible.

Push the erase button to clear the screen and turn up the brightness of the light bulb. Turn the crank slowly to pull the light detector from one end to the other. As you turn the crank, watch the line being drawing on the screen. This line shows the brightness of color as the detector passes through the spectrum. Notice that the detector senses light that is invisible to the human eye.
